Must have been that whole Olympic thing, but some how we missed this announcement last week as Gaga tweeted about her up and coming role in the Robert Rodriguez sequel.
There still hasn’t been a trailer, but we know Danny Trejo will return as the machete wielding “take no prisoners” Mexicano. The all star cast includes: Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, Sofia Vergara, Edward James Olmos, Cuba Gooding, Vanessa Hudgens, Demian Bichir, Charlie Sheen, Michelle Rodriguez, and Alexa Vega.
The plot according to imdb- “The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.” We know there will be no texting, but this is a Rodriguez film so expect the usual grind-house blood.
As for Gaga, “Mother Monster” is continuing her season of Latin Love heading to South America on tour for two months starting in late October.
